Dear Back Pain Sufferer,

Over the past 27 years, I have treated nearly 30,000 patients suffering with sciatica and back pain. And, in tracking the effectiveness of my treatment approach, these patients have enjoyed a 91.7% success rate  - that's somewhere near 27,510 people I have been able to help reduce and, in most cases, completely get rid of their pain.

Until now, my treatment methodology was limited to my private patients - there simply wasn't enough of me to go around not to mention an easy or affordable way of sharing this information with people outside of my geographical area.

But, because of the affordability and ease of use of the Internet, as well as for reasons I will explain later, I now have the ability to share what I've learned about eliminating sciatica and back pain with the entire world and give you the opportunity to get the exact same results as the patients who visit my office.

So, no matter what your diagnosis, or how long you've been in pain, or what type of treatment you've had in the past, there's a very good chance I've encountered your particular condition on multiple occasions.

And because I have, no doubt, seen your condition before and have heard stories probably very similar to yours, I can safely say (with 91.7% accuracy) that my "back pain relief system" will help you resolve your pain... improve your function... and change your life.

Please keep reading because I'm going to share my system with you today and, at the very least, give you some hope about what your life could be like tomorrow.

But before I do, I need to help you understand a few facts and dispel some of the common myths surrounding sciatica and back pain...

Thanks, But I Already Understand The Facts.
Please Help Me End My Back Pain Now

Back Pain Facts

Having treated nearly 30,000 back pain sufferers over the past 27 years, I have answered many questions related to sciatica and back pain.

In reviewing the recent medical literature, the following facts have been reported related to sciatica and back pain:

Fact:  Back pain is the second leading reason people
           seek medical attention

Fact:  Back pain will affect 80% of people at some point in their life

Fact:  Most back pain episodes resolve quickly

Fact:  Physically fit people have less back pain

Fact:  Back pain is usually NOT the result of a serious condition

Fact:  Back pain is usually NOT caused by slipped discs or pinched nerves

Fact:  An MRI CANNOT tell exactly where the pain is coming from

Fact:  Surgery is NOT the only answer for back pain or sciatica

I hope these facts answer some of your questions and dispel some of the common misconceptions about back pain.  So with that, lets take a closer look at how to best treat your back pain and have you start enjoying your life again.

But, before we get into the particulars of the treatment process, I think it’s important for you to understand that medical research has indicated that most treatment options are literally…

Doomed From The Start

In a review of the scientific evidence of the causes, diagnosis, and treatment of back pain published by the Swedish Council on Technology Assessment in Health Care (SBU), medical researchers, Alf Nachemson, MD, PhD and Eggon Jonsson, PhD, cite three reasons why your efforts to end your sciatica or back pain may be “doomed” to failure right from the start.

Reason 1:
X-rays, MRIs, and CT scans only tell part of your back pain story. Unfortunately, most doctors aren't trained to determine the reason why the structures of your spine look the way they do. Consequently, a diagnosis based entirely on the imaging studies of your back is usually made. This means that the underlying cause of your back pain often times will go undiagnosed and untreated.

The reason doctors rely so heavily on imaging studies is because fewer than 50% of the medical schools train their students how to perform a systematic musculoskeletal exam, much less a comprehensive spinal assessment. That’s why most doctors just prescribe medications or refer you to other specialists. The most you can hope for when going to a medical doctor is a little bit of short-term relief.

Reason 2:
In a comprehensive review of conservative treatment methods (including massage, pain relief ointments or creams, nonspecific exercise, ultrasound, electrical stimulation, moist heat, traction, acupuncture, etc.) for chronic lower back pain, none were shown to have any lasting effect on back pain.

These treatment approaches address only the symptoms and ignore the underlying cause of the problem.

Reason 3:

Most back pain treatment programs are “generic” meaning they're the same for everybody. You know what I’m talking about. You go to the doctor or physical therapist and you’re given a sheet of exercises like the one you see to the left.

Look, if you had high cholesterol, would your doctor hand you a bulb of garlic and tell you to eat a clove a day for 30 days? Of course not! You would receive a prescription of something like Lipitor with precise instructions of how and when to take it. So how can you expect for your back to feel better if the only thing you do are  "over the counter exercises"?

This approach simply doesn’t work yet sadly it’s the standard of care for most medical practitioners. Doesn't it make much more sense to treat your back pain with a detailed program that addresses the cause of the problem and not the symptoms?

But how could you have known any of this? You just want your back to stop hurting and you trust the “experts” to guide and advise you, right?

If this has been your experience, I think you'll agree with what the medical research reports: Back pain treatment is doomed from the start.

So you may be asking yourself…

“If Most Sciatica And Back Pain Treatment Efforts Are Doomed To Failure, Is There Any Hope For
My Particular Condition?”

Actually there is.  Let me explain…

What you’re looking at here is a diagram of the cascading events that take place in the typical degenerative process.

So starting at the top, there is some type of minor trauma or repetitive stress that leads to pain and disuse.

Over time, this results in adaptive tissue changes.  In other words, some tissues shorten or tighten up and some tissues weaken or lose their strength.  These are the muscle imbalances that you’ll hear me talk about.

As time goes on, these soft tissue changes will eventually result in structural changes.  That’s where we see the arthritic joint changes, disc herniation, stenosis, etc

And along with these changes, there is a significant reduction in mobility, which, over time, results in scar tissue formation and ultimately leading to chronic pain and disability.
In looking at the most current research regarding the effectiveness of back pain treatment, the SBU and the International Spine Society have issued 4 consensus recommendations about sciatica and back pain treatment:

Back Pain Treatment Recommendation #1: Treatment should be geared towards preventing disability and improving the patient’s quality of life.  In other words, we need to teach the patient about how to become more self sufficient in the management of his or her own condition and become less reliant on the medical system.

Back Pain Treatment Recommendation #2: Long-term drug therapy is simply not effective in managing back pain and should be avoided.

Back Pain Treatment Recommendation #3: Manual therapy or manipulation is an effective treatment method in reducing pain.

Back Pain Treatment Recommendation #4: Exercise therapy is effective in the restoration of daily function.

Bottom line: The #1 goal in treating sciatica and back pain is to keep you active.

And the best way to do that is with a...

Functional Spinal Restoration Program

Now as solid as these treatment recommendations are, there are essential key elements missing that will help to better define how to effectively get to the source of the problem and treat it more efficiently.

So, in addition to the above-mentioned recommendations, the following elements have been identified as being necessary for effective spinal treatment:

A clear identification of functional deficits:  One of the reasons treatment is "doomed" from the start is because the current level of clinical spinal assessment (an accurate diagnosis) is completely inadequate.

Safely initiate, control, and sustain adaptive response:  In order to facilitate an improvement in long-term outcomes, the "symptom only approach" needs to be avoided.

Specific targeting of functional deficits:  Current non-specific ("one size fits all approach") treatment methods are ineffective.

Backed by sound science  Our patients will not be well served by treatment methods and opinions that are unsupported by scientific evidence.

Utilizing the collaborative work of the scientific community, a functional spinal restoration approach is recommended for the treatment of back pain.

But before we get too much further into this report, you're probably wondering …

Who Am I and Why Should You Even Listen To Me?

Since you almost certainly have no clue who I am, I thought it would be appropriate to introduce myself before we get too much further into this report.

My name is Malton Schexneider and for the past 27 years I have been a nationally known educator, university professor, published author, and practicing clinical specialist in orthopedic physical therapy.

I am regarded by my profession as a master clinician (which represents only about 5% of all physical therapists) and earned that title by maintaining a laser focus on becoming the best at what I do.  In addition to my clinical practice, I have been an author and contributor to many prestigious publications including...

I am a highly sought after back pain specialist and have successfully treated over 25,000 people from all over the world – people just like you who couldn’t be helped by anyone else.  I've even had the privilege of treating a few VIPs including celebrities, professional athletes, doctors, other therapists, and chiropractors.

Having the reputation of being the back pain "guru", I was constantly being bombarded with requests by physicians to come up with a back pain program for their patients… something they could prescribe other than pills… something the patient could do on their own...something that worked.

So, together with a team of neurosurgeons, orthopaedic spine specialists, and rehab professionals, I developed the...

5 Step Back Pain Treatment Methodology

In coming up with this treatment methodology, I took the recommendations from the SBU and International Spine Society, the "missing elements" cited in other medical research, and integrated the following steps to come up with the core elements necessary to reduce pain and restore normal spinal function:

Step 1:  Understand how much back pain is affecting your life

Step 2:  Identify the location and behavior of your symptoms

Step 3:  Determine the underlying cause of the pain

Step 4:  Treat the cause not the symptoms

Step 5:  Prevent the problem from returning

Having successfully utilized these simple and effective steps to treat not only my own private patients but thousands of people from across the United States and in 67 different countries world wide, it has become my mission to remedy the misunderstandings associated with sciatica and back pain, and teach as many back pain sufferers about the benefits of the Finally No More Back Pain Functional Spinal Rehabilitation Program™.

That’s why I wrote this report and why I'm glad you’re reading it now!

So now that you have a general understanding of the scientific basis behind sciatica and back pain treatment, let's take a more in depth look at each of these steps...

Step 1:  To What Extent Is Sciatica or Back Pain
Affecting Your Life?

Step 1 of the process is to help you start thinking about what toll back pain has had on your life.  In other words, what has back pain taken from you?

So what I’d like you to do is take a look at the list below and click on the box next to the statement that really resonates with you – the statement that causes you to say, “Yes, that’s me!”

You have difficulty sleeping at night and when you do manage to fall asleep, it's only for a few minutes leaving you exhausted and irritable in the morning.

You feel a decreased sense of enjoyment in life - going to a movie, traveling, playing a round of golf, gardening - everything is such a chore that you'd just as soon do nothing than "pay the price" later.

You eat painkillers, muscle relaxants, and anti-inflammatory medications like candy - anything to try and stay ahead of the pain - but nothing seems to work anymore.

You have low energy and stamina, poor self-esteem, and you've even noticed a decrease in your libido.

You have difficulty performing the most simple tasks like getting dressed, cooking, cleaning house, going for a walk, shopping, or simply relaxing around the house.  You can't even find a comfortable position to sit or stand for any length of time.

You're constantly battling feelings of frustration and depression because you can't enjoy your normal life.

You feel grumpy and irritable all the time - you're convinced people are tired of hearing you complain and, truthfully, you just don't feel very sociable.

You find it difficult to concentrate and can't seem to accomplish anything at work.

You've spent a small fortune on doctor visits, medications, and even the "miracle cures" you've seen on late night TV, but its all been a waste of time and money.

You feel just plain defeated all the time and you're constantly wondering, "Will this pain ever go away?"

Okay, now count up the number of check marks you made.  Are you a little surprised at how much back pain is affecting your life?  Most people I’ve talked to are a little shocked and tend to get a little depressed.

Now the purpose of this exercise isn't to depress you.  No, it's to get you thinking about what you're missing out on and to help you formulate some goals.

With any good sciatica or back pain treatment plan, understanding what you want to ultimately accomplish helps with your recovery.

Once your goals are established, we can move on to step 2...

Step 2: Where Are Your Symptoms Located And What Are They Really Telling You?

Before you can resolve your particular problem, it’s important that you get crystal clear on where your symptoms are located and how far your symptoms travel.

This is important because the location of your symptoms has been shown to have some predictive factor in determining the cause of your problem.

I want you to take a close look at the images to the right.  Do you see an image that closely resembles the pattern of your symptoms?

Now that you’ve identified your symptom pattern, what are these symptoms telling you about the likely underlying cause of your problem?

Scroll down the page until you see the image you selected.  Click the audio player button you see below the image and listen to my explanation of what’s likely at the root of your pain.

Note:  For symptoms that affect either your right or left side, I’m only showing the image for right-sided symptoms.  So if your symptoms are on the left, click the button anyway.

To listen, simply click the play button beneath each image below

Right Buttocks/Thigh Right Buttocks/Leg Right Shoulder

Neck & Shoulder Neck Right Upper Arm Neck & Right Arm

Once we have a good idea of the location and likely underlying cause of your pain, we need to screen for any red flags and assess the behavior of your symptoms.

Now to get a handle on your pain and assess it the way it should be assessed, I have you answer some clarifying questions that will help me narrow down the causes of your back pain.

So on the left is a typical medical history form that will alert me to any red flags

And on the right is a symptom behavior form that helps me determine how your symptoms respond to different stimuli and creates a time line for me to follow so that I can make some assumptions with regard to cause and effect.

So, right now, you should have a good idea of how your symptoms are affecting your life, the location and likely underlying cause of your pain, and how your symptoms are behaving.

Let’s turn our attention now to step 3...

Step 3:  Determining The Underlying Cause of the Pain

I will then take where your symptoms are located and the behavior of those symptoms and correlate it with what I see structurally to determine a potential underlying cause of your problem

And finally...

Step 4:  Treating The Cause Not The Symptom

I take all the information I’ve gathered to this point, determine a potential underlying cause of your problem (this photograph is a representation of a muscle which is very commonly associated with low back pain and sciatica), and apply the appropriate treatment that best addresses the problem.

The key here is a targeted functional rehabilitation program that is based on the most current medical research.

And, once we get control over the immediate problem, our next goal is to...

Step 5:  Prevent The Problem From Ever Returning

Here are the results of a study published in Spine Journal a few years ago that tracked the recurrence of pain in a group of individuals that had participated in a functional rehabilitation program

For this study, the authors divided the participants into 2 groups:

Group 1:  100 of the participants were to continue with a maintenance program following the initial functional restoration program

Group 2:
The remaining 25 participants were to perform no maintenance program at all.

After 2 years, about 9% of the maintenance group reported some recurrence in pain while all 25 of the non-maintenance group reported a recurrence of pain.

This study demonstrates the importance of not only treating back pain with a Functional Restoration Program, but clearly identifies the importance of maintaining some form of maintenance following the initial program.

So...

What Can You Really Expect From This Type of Treatment Approach?

Listen… I don’t know much about your back pain right now… but if you're like 90% of most back pain sufferers, I DO know that this 5 step treatment approach, will help you achieve the lasting sciatica and back pain relief you desire.

Here are just a few benefits you too will experience...

But as much as I’d like to tell you that this methodology would help you no matter what type of sciatica or back problem you have, I can’t.  The reality is...

It Won't Help Everyone

Fact is there are some conditions that require more aggressive medical attention and some conditions where surgery is your only option.

Obviously, anyone with sciatica or back pain who wishes to utilize any type of treatment program should first consult with and seek clearance from your doctor.

But… if you have any of the following symptoms associated with your back pain, I INSIST that you seek immediate medical attention:

Fortunately, issues like these affect less than 10% of back pain sufferers, which means 90% of people suffering with sciatica and back pain can be helped.

In Summary, Here's What You Should Know
About Back Pain...

Back pain is rarely due to a serious condition

The pain will go away even if you do nothing but will return frequently

Bed rest is a bad idea

Activity will make you feel better sooner

If you can't cope with the pain, seek out a specialist

Now that you have a good grasp of the scientific basis of back pain treatment and the step-by-step methodology that makes up the Finally No More Back Pain Functional Spinal Rehabilitation Program™, you're probably wondering how you can get access to this program to treat your own sciatica or back pain...

Well Here's the Bad News...

There's a very good chance the Finally No More Back Pain Functional Spinal Rehabilitation Program™ is not right for you...

For starters, it isn't an inexpensive program. Here's why:

  1. I've spent the better part of my career developing the back pain relief strategies I'll be sharing with you, so I can't, in good conscious, just give it away.  It wouldn't be fair to my existing private patients and I firmly believe a man (or woman) should be compensated for their hard work - especially given the amount of time I'll put in to helping you quickly resolve your personal back pain issue.

  2. I also want to discourage "doctor hoppers" and other "energy vampires" from joining because I know they'll add nothing to the community I'm building and just drain me of energy - energy that should be going to help you resolve your problem.

  3. Finally, I want you to value the program I develop for you.  Yes, I could give it away and hope to "spread the word" that way, but I know a large portion of people wouldn't actually use the program and get the results they're looking for and the entire reason I'm doing this would fall completely apart!

Prior to writing this report I did a lot of research to find out what other people are charging for their back pain relief systems. The prices range from $5 for useless "symptom only" treatment products that we've already talked about, all the way up to $5,000 for a spinal decompression regimen which, by the way, has been recently shown not to be effective (Schimmel, et al. European Spine Journal, 2009).

So based on my research (and an understanding where my system falls in the "quality continuum") my plan was to sell my customized back pain relief program for $700 but discount it to $500 as a way of promoting my back pain relief services.

But then I got to thinking...

"I Really Do Want All Back Pain Sufferers To Have Access To These Powerful Pain Relief Strategies..."

At that price-point, only a small number of people would be able to afford my pain relief system, and I sincerely want all sciatica and back pain sufferers utilizing my program so they can begin enjoying their lives again quickly.

So here's what I ultimately decided...

First, to make absolutely certain my program is right for you, I'm going to give you a full 60 day guarantee.  If it doesn't work, you get your money back... no risk or obligation.  You can even keep the materials as my way of saying thanks for trying my system.

Next, to keep the program within reach of all back pain sufferers, I'm going to reduce your investment to less than half of my intended price point - in other words, your investment to participate in the Finally No More Back Pain Functional Spinal Rehabilitation Program™ won't be $500...it will be $197.  But...

Do You Really Need A Custom Program?

After listening to many of my patients, I’ve come to the conclusion that there’s a very good chance you won’t need my fully customized back pain relief system.  In fact, about 83% of my clients do just as well with my “off the shelf” version of the program.

So instead of overspending on therapeutic intervention you don’t necessarily need, I’m going to give you instant access to my Medical Exercise Training Pain Relief Program self-treatment system for $77.  You can literally be applying these powerful back pain relief strategies to your particular condition in about 10 minutes.
